Osteo Symmetry®

Osteo Symmetry® is a non-invasive type of therapeutic bodywork that is designed to release structural tension patterns. As opposed to massage, which works with muscle, this holistic manual therapy disperses energy blockages from the bone. The result is an increase in flexibility and a release of tension. In a relaxed state, the spleen, liver and kidneys may return to normal movement and improved function. Likewise, greater range of motion in the pelvis relates to a healthy lower gastrointestinal system. Clients will see an overall improvement in the general health of the body with regard to circulation, neural facility, organ function and disease resistance.
How is Osteo Symmetry® performed?
An Osteo Symmetry® session usually takes between 45 minutes to one hour. During this non-invasive therapy, clients relax in a reclined position, fully clothed. Your Osteo Symmetry® practitioner will talk with you about your current lifestyle, any pain you might be experiencing, and any conditions you might have.
During your session, the therapist will identify obstructions in the skeletal structure, pressing gently on balance points where energy is dormant. The therapist encourages small but significant movements, utilizing tension and gentle resistance, while making a sequenced evaluation of the entire body. Each client becomes an integral part of his or her own healing, by using breath and resistance throughout the session. Ultimately, once tension is released from the bones, the body’s organs are once again able to move freely.
